"You Must Be Born Again" -- Jesus Christ

You most likely received a Gospel tract from someone in Las Vegas.  You read the message and then saw that there was a website that directed you here.  We hope that as you read this you will begin to see what has become clear to those who hand out gospel tracts, that the only path to salvation through the gracious gift of God in Jesus Christ.

One of the most frequent questions that people ask us is, "How are people saved?"  There are people who claim, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)  Although this statement is a true, it is not the only statement that determines salvation.  Here are some other statements from Jesus Christ.

Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. (Matthew 19:29)

And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  (Mark 13:13)

And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.  And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.  But the one who endures to the end will be saved.  (Matthew 24:10-13)

And someone said to him (Jesus), "Lord, will those who are saved be few?" And he said to them, "Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able." (Luke 13:23-24)

These statements from Jesus Christ show that there is more than just an belief that shows that someone is saved.  In fact, Christ Jesus said this about the Day of Judgement in the Sermon on the Mount.

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'  And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' (Matthew 7:21-23)

"Lord, Lord!", "I Never Knew You."

The indication here is that the person who is saved, not  only knows Jesus Christ but Jesus Christ knows them.  Let me give you an analogy to reveal this truth.  If I wanted to go to the White House and visit President Obama, I'm 100% sure I would not get in to see him.  But, if Presendent Obama knew me and and sent a personal invitation to see him that would reveal the specail relationship we had.

So what is it that Jesus Christ reveals in Matthew 7:21-23 that shows how Jesus Christ knows someone.  The person not only believes and confesses in Jesus Christ, but also does the Will of God and is no longer a worker of lawlessness.  To be a worker of lawlessness means that the person is still suffering with a sin nature and they are spiritually dead.  The only way that a human being is not seen as a worker of lawlessness is if they have been born again by God resurecting the person's spirit which seeks after God.

Being born again will discuss more in the other sections ahead.  To begin getting a better understanding of what it means to be born again watch the videos below.
